Chris Key
Chris Key is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist with a successful decade of experience in finance. He works with his clients, in cooperation with their tax professionals and attorneys, to develop a financial plan that aims to give them confidence in their financial future. His commitment to outstanding customer service is evidenced by his three national customer service awards. He believes many investors are ready to give up on investing and have lost faith in a traditional generic retirement plan. He hopes that more in depth planning, a commitment to service, and diversification into non-traditional asset classes will re-engage the investors he works with.
Chris’s commitment to service goes beyond the walls of his office and his clients. His involvement in the community has included service as board chair of the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce, Partnership for Children of Johnston County, and Partnership to Build a Miracle Capital Campaign committee. He also served as President of the Rotary Club of Central Johnston County, and is currently Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 64 in Garner.
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys sports as well, especially basketball and tennis He also plays golf, but like many golfers, does not always enjoy it. He practices woodworking, photography, and landscaping. His projects include many of the photographs hanging in the office, and the conference table he built from wood from the old Riverside Warehouse in Smithfield.
He is married to Nicole Key, who he met while attending NC State, explaining their love for all things Wolfpack. After earning a degree in Business Management and Finance he worked as a regional sales manager, corporate consultant, then in 2003 began his career as a financial advisor. His wife Nicole is the counselor at their children's school. They have four children, Becca, Angie, Rylie, and Jackson; and three grandchildren. all Wolfpack fans in training. They live in the Cleveland Community where they attend Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Amy Adams
Amy Adams, a Johnston County native, has been in the financial services industry since 2013. Amy learned at a young age the importance of securing your financial future and understands that a one size fits all approach does not work for everyone. She is committed to developing a personal relationship with each client, so that she can better meet the needs of each individual person and their family.
Amy lives in Benson with her husband Ray, their energetic German Shepherd and pleasantly plump cat. Together they enjoy traveling, especially to the Outer Banks, walks through downtown Benson with their dog, and spending time with family during their monthly game night.
In her free time, Amy enjoys photography and the arts. She participates in the occasional ballet class and sings country music with her cousins.
Tonya Maness
Before starting at Acera Wealth Management, Tonya Maness spent many years as a social worker, where she served as Director of Social Services at the Laurels of Chatham, and Regional Bereavement Coordinator for Liberty Homecare and Hospice. She provided emotional and informational support to patients and their families, as well as resources and guidance to ensure their financial and healthcare needs were met.
Tonya is excited to work with clients to help them understand the importance of setting financial goals and begin planning early. Tonya will help clients explore options for retirement as well as assure that their long-term healthcare needs are a vital part of their financial plan.
Tonya is also a devoted member of her church, teaching women’s Bible study and groups and serving as a nursery worker. She is a wife to Jody Maness and mother of two daughters, Gracie and Kaylee.
Rhonda Allen
Rhonda has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. She has three lovely cats, Stormy, Tito, and Boo. She enjoys outdoor activities including riding her motorcycle, jet skiing, and spending as much time in her Jeep with the top down as much as possible.
